We are doing a lot of changes to release a Strapi 5 version, would you be willing to rewrite this PR on the dev/strapi5 branch? I think it would still be a good addition

I'm no longer working for the organization that required this update,
and they still use Strapi v4,
So I don't think I'll find the time to port this PR to Strapi v5.
But as I recall, it was quite a simple change, so it shouldn't be hard to do,
and you can find it in https://github.com/vegan-friendly/strapi-plugin-rest-cache
